New laws valuating homes for rates will be brought forward in the near future, according to the Island's Treasury Minister Chris Thomas.
In the House of Keys this week, he faced questions from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper about how often rateable values are considered.
Mr Thomas said the system was in line for a change after the findings of a select committee some time ago.
But he said the government was planning to change the law soon:
