One of the Island’s leading politicians has met with Prince Charles recently to discuss the Isle of Man’s fishing conservation.
Minister for DEFA Phil Gawne travelled to London this morning to attend the launch of the International Sustainability Unit.
This is a charity to help protect the marine environment, preserving fish stocks and promoting biodiversity.
Minister Gawne spoke with the prince and took the opportunity to discuss the Island’s territorial waters.
He said the talks went well and was encouraged by Charles’s desire to sustain good a productive fishing environment.
