While stories of catholic abuse in the church are making headlines worldwide it's been revealed that a priest who attacked a nine year old boy on the Isle of Man went on to abuse others in the UK.

Father Neil Gallanagh admitted attacking a nine-year-old boy on a day trip to the Isle of Man in the 1960's while he was a priest in Northern Ireland.

He was fined £30 and promised to seek medical treatment.

Founder of the support group Minister and Clergy Sexual Abuse Survivors Margaret Kennedy told 3FM that he refunded very soon after he was charged on the Island.

She also said he should be defrocked as sit still appears, to him and to his pupils that the church are still supporting him.
