Education Minister Daphne Caine says her department is baffled by allegations Christmas carols were banned by schools this year.
In the House of Keys this week, she faced a question from Onchan MHK Julie Edge asking which schools had banned the words to festive songs.
Mrs Caine asked members to name the schools involved - however none did.
And she said her department had contacted all of the Island's schools to check before answering the question:
