Police in Liverpool have teamed up with the city's council to safeguard TT fans travelling to the Island.
The Merseyside force has launched Operation Needle, which aims to prevent theft of and from motorbikes as they arrive for the ferry.
Liverpool serves as a key transit hub to the Island and so the operation runs throughout TT each year.
Last year, officers in Liverpool managed to reunite two German fans with their machines within 48 hours after thieves took them.
