Marshal call as Festival of Motorcycling gets underway

Racing fans will descend on the Isle of Man this weekend as the Festival of Motorcycling roars into action.

The first qualifying session of the Manx Grand Prix is expected to get underway today.

The TT Marshals Association relies on locals and visitors to help ensure the event runs smoothly and is appealing for more residents to help take the strain at the start:

Marshals have to be 16 or over but do not need to have any previous experience - chairman Robert Craine is urging people to get involved for the good of the whole Island:
