Manxnet email scam almost cost house and savings

There's a warning about manx.net email scammers - after a house buyer almost ended up conned out of their life savings.

They took to a local Facebook group to warn people after a message from lawyers asking them to send the balance of their property purchase to a different account.

But when they checked, the email account had been hacked by fraudsters.

They say they could potentially have lost their life savings and seen their house purchase fall through - and are warning others to take extra care online.
