The Manxman won't be running any crossings to Dublin anytime soon.
Chris Thomas MHK put the question to the Treasury Minister Dr Allinson in the House of Keys earlier this week.
Minister Allinson said Dublin has never been a regular port for the Steam Packet vessels, with limited crossings each year.
The average number on each sailing last year was 242, well short of capacity for the Mannannan, let alone the Manxman.
