A man who has played a major role in the success of the Manx Stroke Foundation has been awarded a British Empire Medal.
Terry Chilcott has been awarded his BEM as part of the Queen’s 2013 Birthday Honours List.
After suffering a stroke himself Terry was one of the foundation’s first members and has served the group for over 15 years.
In that time it has donated £50,000 worth of equipment to Noble’s Hospital and £15,000 for aids and services for stroke sufferers.
