The chair of the Zurich Foundation has set off on a 1,500km cycle from the Swiss Alps to the Isle of Man.
Gary Shaughnessy, aims to complete the journey across Europe in 17 days.
The challenge will also include taking part in the Great North Run.
He hopes the journey will finish at Zurich House in Douglas on Wednesday, September 17.
