A Merseyside man has been charged with manslaughter after the death of a woman on Douglas Promenade.
The 53 year old, who police haven’t named, will appear in court tomorrow over the incident outside the Palace Hotel on Central Promenade on Friday night.
A woman from Merseyside died in Nobles Hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning – specialist officers are supporting her family.
Detective Superintendent Stephen Maddocks is appealing for people to come forward if they saw a man and woman in their 50s, another man and woman in their 20s with a small child near the Majestic restaurant and the bus stop outside the Palace Hotel.
