A man who was jailed last year after trying to bring £40,000 worth of drugs in a package of children's books has been put on probation after being caught with cannabis during TT.
Stephen Whittaker of Tromode House in Braddan appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 28 year old admitted possessing cannabis in Glen Falcon Gardens in Douglas on June 5.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing police on patrol smelled cannabis and approached Whittaker, who admitted he had a single spliff as well as 3.2 grams of the drug, worth a total of £68.
The court heard last year he was jailed for 14 months for producing cannabis and possessing it with intent to supply after receiving a package of drugs wrapped with Disney paper.
After hearing he was due to leave probation supervision later this month, Mrs Hughes ordered him to spend a further six months under the service.
He was also ordered to pay £125 costs.
