A man’s been put on probation after police caught him carrying a knife in Douglas.
23 year old Charlton Andrew Gary Watterson of Empire Terrace in Douglas admitted the offence when he appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The court heard he was stopped by officers on Castle Mona Avenue on June 3 and the kitchen knife was found in his trouser pocket.
His advocate Ian Kermode said unemployed Watterson couldn’t explain why he was carrying the three-inch blade, but hadn’t intended to use it on anybody.
He’ll be supervised by the probation service for 12 months and magistrates also ordered him to pay £125 costs.
