A man was arrested yesterday morning after attempting to burgle a property in Stevenson Court, Douglas.
After initial enquiries it is also believed that some insecure vehicles parked in the nearby vicinity may have been entered and had items stolen from within.
Officers have been conducting house to house and CCTV enquiries, but are asking the public to assist by checking their own vehicles to establish if they've been tampered with or had any items taken.
Members of the public who live nearby are also asked to check their doorbell or dash cam footage.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Douglas Police Headquarters on 631212.
