A man accused of drink-driving in a stolen car had no license or insurance, a court's heard.
Ashley Graham Kelly of West Hill Avenue in Castletown appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Christopher Arrowsmith at Douglas Courthouse.
The 28 year old hasn't yet entered pleas to charges of taking a car without consent, driving with no licence or insurance and drink-driving in Peel on October 30.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing police found Kelly's girlfriend's car on Poortown Road with damaged wheels.
Kelly had left the scene to get his mobile phone, and was arrested when he returned to the vehicle.
Mr Swain said Kelly's girlfriend hadn't given him permission to drive the car, and at police headquarters he was found to be twice the legal limit.
He was bailed in the sum of £500 and will appear in court again on November 24.
