A man accused of smashing a car windscreen and damaging another vehicle has been freed from prison.
19 year old Connor Lewis of St German’s Place in Peel appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse via a live video link from Jurby prison.
He faced two criminal damage charges, both said to have been committed on August 22.
But prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the court the vehicle owners, including Mr Lewis’s mother, had retracted their statements.
She offered no evidence and Mrs Hughes dismissed the charges without awarding costs.
