Police are reminding residents to make sure their oil tanks are secure this winter.
It’s the time of year when the constabulary sees an increase in reports of heating oil theft.
Homeowners and businesses should ensure their tanks are adequately protected to stop criminals stealing from them.
Advice includes fitting a lock to the tank, putting hostile planting in the area and checking CCTV coverage.
