Port St Mary RNLI rescued two kayakers after they were caught in strong currents off Langness yesterday afternoon.
They'd launched from Derbyhaven but got into difficulty after leaving the shelter of the bay on Monday, May 25.
It was the first callout for volunteer Tracy Broom in her new role as launch authority.
The charity is reminding people to check tides, carry a means of calling for help, and wear a lifejacket before heading out.
