Port St Mary lifeboat was called to help a yacht in difficulty last night.
The Henry Heys Duckworth launched just before 6pm after a 27-foot yacht reported suffering engine problems.
The RNLI volunteers found the vessel, with two people aboard, around seven miles south-east of Douglas.
The yacht's crew managed to restart their engine and were safely escorted back to Douglas Harbour.
