Port St Mary Lifeboat was called out this week to help three people on a fishing boat in distress.
Just before 6pm on Wednesday lifeboat 'Gough Ritchie 2' was launched after being paged by Belfast coastguard.
It went to the aid of a 14-metre fishing boat which had suffered steering problems 10 miles south-east of Port St Mary.
Crews reached the boat just before 7pm and succesfully towed it back, the three people on board were unharmed during the incident.
