A licensing system to grow cannabis on the Isle of Man has been approved by Tynwald this week.
The court unanimously approved a motion on the matter yesterday evening which was brought forward by Douglas North MHK, Ralph Peake.
The ruling means the Island can now develop an export market but it won't be available for medicinal use locally.
The Gambling Supervision Commission will be in charge of granting licenses to make sure rules around quality and security within the sector are followed.
