Liberal Vannin has welcomed Tynwald's approval of the Homelessness Strategy, but is 'dismayed' that it won't be actioned sooner.
The political group says it's been campaigning on the issue ever since the overnight shelter closed in September last year, with no planned alternative in place.
The government's Homelessness Strategy aims to create a legal right to housing based on an agreed criteria, and introduce system change.
However, it's not expected to fully be achieved until 2029, with Liberal Vannin calling for this timescale to be re-assessed.
