Laxey Flour Mill says it's 'saddened' following the news Ramsey Bakery is set to close.
In a post on social media, The Mill says the Bakery has 'served the Island community and championed wherever possible the use of local ingredients.'
The Mill has been in Government ownership since 1974 and says as its 'sole shareholder' it has an ongoing 'day to day' working relationship with them.
Conversations have begun and the Mill says the situation will be reviewed in the upcoming weeks - but in the meantime, can assure customers they will continue to make and supply the finest flour from locally grown wheat.
