A Douglas nursing home has applied for permission to build a new laundry facility which it says will make huge energy savings.
Elder Grange Nursing Home, on Fuschia Lane in Governor's Hill, has lodged a planning application for the changes.
Elder Healthcare, which owns the home, says the existing laundry is now too small and will be converted into a kitchen store.
And it adds the new facility would accommodate new, energy-saving machines to cope with the higher demand.
