A scheme has been launched by the police to make sure people are safer when it comes to locking their cars.
Operation keysnatch is a hands on attempt to significantly lower cases of car theft on the Island.
During the course of the operation, if a vehicle is found insecure a card will be left by the police, alerting the driver to what has been discovered.
PC Mark Newey told us that keys that are left in the ignition will be taken by the police to prevent crime.
