Tynwald's approved changes to laws which mean more people will be eligible for jury service.
From January updated criteria will remove many exemptions, including people with disabilities or mental health conditions.
Justice Minister Jane Poole-Wilson says it's a vital step to make the justice system representative of the community.
It's the first major update to jury rules in 40 years, meaning only a small number of jobs will still be exempt - such as the police and military.
