The Island's Home Affairs minister says a merged base for emergency services in the south of the Island is cost effective.
Bill Malarkey MHK says a new building near the airport will act as a combined headquarters for fire engines and ambulances.
Castletown Fire Station and the Port Erin Ambulance Service are now based on the Ronaldsway Industrial Estate in Ballasalla.
