Issues for Manx farmers to be tackled

Phil Gawne has insisted that getting the Manx farming industry back on track is top of his agenda.

Speaking to 3FM earlier, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Minister said his department was already examining the various issues and possible solutions.

Mr Gawne said that "nobody wants to see” the transport off-Island of livestock for slaughter and that creating more trade for farmers within the Isle of Man is key

He did admit there’s still a long way to go, but was optimistic about getting the industry back to full flow (see audio).
