Week Celebrating Children and Young People Gets Underway
Young people and children on the Island are to be celebrated this week.
The week is being spearheaded by the Children’s Centre, and it’s aiming to incorporate the key elements of the Government’s Strategy for Children and Young People, being healthy, staying safe, enjoying life and achieving.
Currently 54 countries across the world hold National Children’s events, but this is the first time the Island has ever had one.
Activities kick off today with a danceathon and a Street Party in Castletown among many other things.
The activities will culminate next Friday.
