Island\'s Diverse Economy Paying Off
An economic report has shown efforts to diversify the Island’s economy are paying off.
The report which covers the third quarter of 2009 to the end of September has flagged up the importance of the emerging sectors, like e-business, the shipping and aircraft registries, and space commerce.
E-gaming especially is performing strongly and it’s estimated that it’ll grow significantly in terms of job numbers and revenue.
The positive knocks ons of these new sectors are reflected in the fact the Island has not entered recession, and still has a relatively healthy level of unemployment when compared to the UK.
