Island to play host to Russian Ambassador

Alexander Yakovenko is visiting the Island following an invite from the Manx government, it marks one of his first visits around the British Isles having only recently taken up the post.

It's all part of the Government's ongoing effort to strengthen the Island's international profile and ties with other countries.

Only last week the Island  had a visit from Ambassador Choo from South Korea.

Next week the Chief Minister will attend his first British Irish Council summit in Dublin, where the economy and drugs matters will be up for discussion.
