Island to come to stand still for 2 minutes' silence

The full co-operation of the public is asked for over the next week as the Island marks two minutes\' silence on both Friday and Sunday.

We'll be joining the rest of the commonwealth in remembering all those who have died in the Service of their Country since the first World War.

Precise warnings will be given that will indicate both the beginning and end with motorists asked to pull over and stop their engines during the periods of silence.

The Isle of Man National Service of Remembrance will be held at the Royal Chapel of St Johns at 3.00pm on Sunday.
