Island retail sector 'doing good'

Reports out today have revealed that the UK retail industry is down one per cent in sales compared to last year, but how are we fairing in the Isle of Man?

One of the top men at the Chamber of Commerce believes we’re doing all right.

Steve Bevan is chairman of the chamber’s retail committee and says shoppers are still out in force throughout the island this Christmas.

However, Mr Bevan did say that retail is a changing trade, and it’s not so much the biggest and best that will survive – but those most able to adapt (see audio).
