IOM Bank Peel and Port Erin branches to stay closed

Isle of Man Bank will re-open one of its branches and extend the opening hours at three others from next week, but two others are set to remain closed.

The organistion says its location on Regent Street in Douglas will open its doors again next Monday (June 29) with opening hours of 9.30am to 4.30pm to provide a self-service facility for customers.

However, the branches in Peel and Port Erin remain closed at this time.

Meanwhile, opening hours will be extended at Athol Street in the capital, Ramsey and Castletown from the same day and will also operate between 9.30am and 4.30pm - currently they're available 10am until 2pm.

Social distancing measures in those locations are also being removed this week following the relaxing of laws around how close people can be to each other earlier this month.

A spokesperson for IOM Bank says: "as restrictions are lifted and high streets and businesses re-open, there is now increased demand.

"With many colleagues still re-deployed to meet critical customer needs, we do not have the resources to open all our branches at the present time without affecting our ability to meet customer requirements effectively.

"We are sorry that we cannot open all our branches at the moment but we will keep the opening times of all our branches under constant review and make further changes when the time is right."
