An independent review will be carried out into the devastating floods in Laxey last week.
Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, made the statement during the extraordinary sitting of Tynwald taking place today.
His comments were in response to an urgent question from Garff MHK Martyn Perkins regarding the severe weather in the town last Tuesday.
Garff Commissioners are set to hold an emergency meeting over the major incident later this week.
