The Island’s largest hospitality company, Heron & Brearley, is set to significantly expand its business in the north of England after buying pub operator Market Town Taverns.
The company operates 15 managed houses located across north and west Yorkshire. The business focuses on the real ale trade, with all of its pubs listed in the 2012 Good Beer Guide.
H&B’s retail director Steven Taylor said the acquisition of the business was ‘valuable’ addition to the company’s portfolio and provided them with an opportunity to strengthen its presence in the UK.
