Hearing service scaled back

Staffing problems mean the Island’s audiology service is being temporarily reduced.

From tomorrow services in Ramsey and Port Erin will be scaled back.

Volunteers will be available on a drop-in basis to help people with minor issues relating to their hearing aids.

Those needing more specialist assistance will have to attend Noble’s Hospital.

The Department of Health says it expects to resume normal service in May next year.
