GP's time saved with uptake of Minor Aliment Scheme

Pharmacists have treated more than 2,000 people in the last year as part of efforts to reduce the pressure on doctors and nurses.

The Department of Health and Social Care is urging people to think 'pharmacist first' when seeking medical advice and treatment for a number of conditions. 

Since 2014 there's been a 136 per cent increase in the number of people using the Minor Ailment Scheme:
