Property disposal and staff office moves cuts costs
The Government says it's upping its efforts to save money by cutting its office accommodation costs and selling off surplus assets.
Property worth £1.85m has already been disposed of and they claim savings of £500,000 a year have been made.
The Strategic Asset Management Unit is a team formed in the Department of Infrastructure to build on this and improve efficiency with the aim of saving £1.5m in the annual cost of providing office accommodation.
Since 2009 savings have been made in these areas by moving staff from rented office space to government owned properties.
