Government is looking at teaching Mandarin to pupils

Attempts to teach Mandarin to schoolchildren haven't yet come to fruition due to the difficulty of learning the language.

The Department of Education and Children made the admission after Onchan MHK Zac Hall's comments that language teaching needs to be reviewed. 
 
He wants Spanish and Mandarin to replace traditionally taught French and German.
