A yellow weather warning for frost and ice is in force across the Island this morning.
The notice from the met office will remain in place until 11am.
Forecasters say areas sheltered from the east and northeast breeze are the most likely to be affected with a risk of sleet showers above 1200ft.
They add the frost and ice could be patchy because of the varying amount of cloud cover.
