The fireworks in Peel won't go ahead this weekend.
Peel Town Commissioners’ bonfire and Firework display originally scheduled for tomorrow has now been postponed until Monday next week.
It's due to high winds and heavy rain forecasted for tomorrow evening.
The bonfire will now be lit on the town beach on Monday at 7pm, with the firework display expected to commence from 7.30pm.
The event is being held earlier this year to ensure the outer breakwater is clear, to allow the berthing of fishing boats for the start of the scallop fishing season.
