A call has gone out to everyone going to watch tonight’s England game to drink responsibly and make plans for getting home.
Football fans across the Isle of Man are being urged to give drink-driving the red card this summer as the Department of Infrastructure’s Road Safety Unit brings forward its annual anti-drink drive campaign to coincide with the World Cup
The new anti drink driving campaign carries the slogan Where will you be watching the World Cup...prison or hospital?
Officers will be increasing visits to pubs when matches are being shown and will be offering support to licensees if and when required.
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne said aside from the strict penalties imposed on drink drivers you also run the risk of causing death or serious injury.
