The Island's Fire and Rescue Service has issued advice over disposable barbecues as summer approaches.
On Facebook, it says you should never leave a lit barbecue unattended, and make sure they're kept well away from sheds, fences, trees, shrubs or garden waste.
It adds you should ensure barbecues are cool before moving them, and not put hot ashes into bins.
And it says you should keep a bucket of water nearby in case of emergencies.
