Fire crews spent five hours tackling a blaze in Peel on Monday night.
Crews from Peel, Douglas and Kirk Michael were called to a major gorse fire at around 5PM.
An area opposite Peel Golf Club was up 30 foot in flames.
Fire crews faced difficulty getting to scene due to steep terrain, a river they had to climb over with a ladder, and gorse, up to 2 meters high, which they had to saw through.
Fire-fighters were surrounding the fire from 8PM putting it out over the next two hours.
An enquiry has been launched. The Fire Service say they are keeping an open mind on the cause of the fire but there were obvious signs of camping in the area.
