Fire crews cut motorist from crashed car

Firefighters had to cut a motorist from their vehicle yesterday after a car crash in Ballaugh.

The two vehicle collision, between a car and a van, happened at around 2.10pm on Main Road.

Fire crews from Ramsey and Kirk Michael removed the roof of the car to free the trapped driver.

They were then taken to Noble's Hospital - the van driver suffered minor injuries to his arms and was given medical attention at the scene.
