The last few post war houses on Janet's Corner Estate in Castletown are soon to be demolished to make way for the completion of a multi million pound housing project.
The investment in the area has been ongoing for over seven years, and in this time 62 houses and bungalows have been demolished, making way for 77 new dwellings.
In the past week 8 new apartments on King William's Way have been allocated to applicants on the public sector housing waiting list.
This final phase of the project will deliver 59 new houses, including 22 first time buyer properties.
It will all be completed by next year.
