Event promises sheep thrills

A conference held on the Island later this year will feature the Island's unique breed of sheep.

Loaghtans will be centre-stage at the North Atlantic Native Sheep and Wool Conference which will be on the Island for the first time in October.

The event's being hosted by Manx National Heritage and will attract 170 delegates to discuss Viking sheep breeds.

The Island's Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot will be at the event to meet attendees.
