The sailings to and from Heysham tonight and early tomorrow morning are facing possible disruption.
The Steam Packet Company says because of the 'rapid deterioration' in the weather forecast the 7.45pm service to the Lancashire port and its return at 2.15am on Tuesday are subject to delays or cancellation.
A decision on both crossings will be made by 5.30pm this evening.
