Electric vehicle users could apply for permission to have on-street chargers in future - but the details are still being worked on.
That's according to Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall, who faced a question in the House of Keys this week about cross-pavement charging for those without driveways.
Mr Crookall said as the number of electric vehicles rises, it's an issue that's increasingly important and his department is talking to Manx Utilitites about on-street charging.
But he said those applying for cross-pavement chargers would have to meet a number of conditions:
Manx movie star featuring at Cannes
Registrations open for popular charity obstacle course
Northern roads to close for cycling
Hundreds of job offers withdrawn over vetting failures
New cafe for the capital
Crash causes disruption at Quarterbridge
Stamps mark Manx connection to US War of Independence
